Title: Benq Flash Problems.... Help!
Post by: stickybuds on November 09, 2008, 06:59:00 PM
iam tring to flash a BenQ drive using iprep, i have made the bootable USB stick with noproblems but i cannot get the original firmware to dump. I boot up iPrep enter the command to read firmware and serial number, then it asks if i want to resend a command untill the drive responds, i press Y and then switch on the 360, the status goes to D1 as it should, i then turn off the xbox for a few seconds and then back on and the status changes to 0xF3 and just stops, i then have to reset PC and Xbox. From what i have read the status should change to 0x73 and then go on to start reading the firmware.

Why might this be happening? why do i get status 0xF3 when it should be 0x73? I have searched this and other forums and cant find an answer anywhere. Please help!!!

Thanks, Stickybudd...

Hi

I´m having the same problem again and again.
It´s equal to yours.
Gives Status D1 ok
I turn it on and toggles between 0x52 and OxD2.
The 4 results that shoud appear never appear.
I shut th power off the drive and stays d2
I cant find either the solution to resolve it.

Help please please  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

PS when i did the bootable usb the iprep gave an i7o error bu i said to continue making the disk and it works on booting into the Dos program.

guys, read this thread to flash your benq drive with any sata chipset and from within windows, http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=659942, the method described in the textbook is old, there is a new way Podger and the gang came up with that involves sending the keys to unlock the drive, just read the thread and mainly follow the steps described in http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...942&st=105#
I guarantee you, these steps are easy and work like a charm.
