i have a problem spoofing my hitatchi 59 with ms 28 firmware.
every time i go to flash spoof id it comes up with this error "verify step failed for sector 3d000 do you want to retry" i pressed no, then it gave me the same error, but with : 3e000 ; instead. it flashes halfway then hangs.
it then says all sectors flashed. what am i doing wrong.??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Ok bit of an update here, i managed to spoof the hitachi, with the ms28 fw, (i think) i highlighted the bottom part of the checksum (master) b4 i hit the flash button i still didn't see the bar running, it then showed my drive as an ms28, but im not sure if it actually is?? And i'm still no futher than when i started, , i can only run dvd movies and nothing else!!
Now i can't get the damn thing into mode b to check the fw or to flash it with the hacked fw!!
Not sure wot else to do now?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Seems quite strange that nearly 40 people has viewed this thread, but no 1 has an answer??

Everyone is probably laughing at you just randomly clicking things like master checksum without actually knowing what you are doing - therefore cant reply.
Slax wont initiate modeb as it reports as a n MS28 (the whole concept of spoofing) Try Podgers modeb
You said No, you dont want it to flash a sector that you wanted it to flash....
I hope you still have your drive key.....
Flashix batch files wouldnt have let you do something like this (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Well if people are laughing that's down to them, i just need some advice on this whole spoofing thing as its proving a right pain!
And yes i'm not really sure why i clicked on the master checksum, but wasn't sure what else to do?
I clicked the flash button and tried several times, it just kept saying "verify step failed

I do have my key and original fw, but im not sure how to progress with it?

I have an ms25 flashed with 1.4, but i don't want to muck that by trying to spoof that to!
I do need the right tutorial so i can at least use the hitachi or ms25 with my mobo.
What is this "Podgers modeb"??
If you could help me out or point me in the right direction i would be great full to you.

Well i tried to get in in mode b, but with no joy, i installed the port IO32 and all was ok, but the io ports i couldn't find for the command base as iprep failed to work after installation?? i couldn't uninstall, so had to restore my system!!
So ive given up on that hitachi now its reporting as my drive but its not hacked?? just plays dvd movies now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
