hey,
i was using ixtreme 1.4 5x...yesterday i started to put dvd lables (stickers) so in some games after that lable i started to have during the game play "unrecognized cd" clean for dirt or somthing..when i remove the lable sticker game will work just fine..and some games even with the lable it works fine..
so i decided to flash my drive with ixtreme 1.4 but this time 12x
and now games are working great and even loading time is very fast...
my question 12x will not harm my dvd drive? or its ok to have it

12x is the standard settings, it's not going to do any more harm than leaving your system stock would do. Never put labels on your discs.

I have a sammy spoofed as a hitachi it kinda glitched on a game every now and then, should I slow it down to 8x? it's currently 12x

I use Verbatim inkjet printables, but label stickers will completely throw off the balance of the disc. If you've ever driven a car on a tire that was "out of round" then you know what that means. You're adding to the mass of the disc when you add a label, and it may not seem like much, but get the disc spinning and any imperfections will become magnified. Simply put, don't use sticky labels.
