I tried searching first, but the little blue dog with floppy ears just kept staring me down for minutes on in. BTW why is the dog blue, because it is a boy dog? Why not pink?
I have a brand new xbox black/elite model that I have had for about 3 weeks. It was sent back to me as a replacement for the one I sent in last month which died. The tray, when open, is close to the Benq pictures I have seen (it's just a smooth oval cut with no circular wholes at all), but it does not match any of the 3 pictures I have seen so far in the noob.pdf.
Anyways, I downloaded the 3 firmwares and iPrep 101 7.3 beta. After iPrep has been installed I cannot get it to detect my SATA chipset like I can with my Intel motherboard (I think the Intel is a iCH7 if I remember correctly, which is listed _NOT_ to work with a Benq). I believe the chipset is compatible, I just don't know if it matters if it detects it or not in iPrep. If it does matter, can I force it to a certain one? Hard code it in some way?
I plan on using the noob.pdf with "Benq iXtreme v1.41.rar" (I don't know what "ixDef_1.41_Rev_2.rar") if that is the correct way to flash. I have not open the 360 (Warranty reasons) because I'm not sure if flashing is possible to do yet , so I don't know exactly who makes the rom.
Here is the only thing I found in the driver package that relates to the chipset (in human readable text)...
CODE
This WinXP 32-bit nForce UDA driver package for CK804, MCP51, MCP55, MCP61, MCP65, MCP67M, MCP68, MCP73 consists of the following components:
Ethernet Driver (v67.76.1) WHQL
SATAIDE Driver (v10.3.0.21) WHQL
SATARAID Driver (v10.3.0.21) WHQL
RAIDTOOL Application (v10.3.0.21)
SMU Driver (v1.45) WHQL
SMBus Driver (v4.64) WHQL
Installer (v5.84)
Any help is appreciated. I am willing to do the hard mod and cut the traces on the ROM if flashing is possible, I just don't want to go there if I do not have to.
