Title: Benq Freeze Problem
Post by: jakal121 on February 03, 2020, 01:24:00 PM
Ive been trying to flash my Benq drive for the past few days but keep coming across some issues,

Im flashing through the NTFS4DOS option because my motherboard bios doesn't allow me to boot using USB, ive tried through floppy disc with the same problem.

Im using VIA 6421A PCI

Asus P4T533-C Motherboard

The problem which keeps occurring is that I can get IPREP to read the original firmware and back it up in the backups folder but after reading the four banks and notifying me that the reading is finished it does not proceed to the FIRMTOOL which I have read about in many tutorials.

Ive tried playing with different ports and different PCI slots, I don't think this could be a problem all of them are picking up the PCI fine, Iprep is allowing me to create boot disks and so on perfectly fine.

I have tried three different drivers for the VIA Sata PCI, version 550b 560 and 570.

Also I dont think this is normal but, in order for the reading of the drive to occur I have to put the sata into the 360 only after the boot process once in iprep after the process of pressing Y to resent mtk..

What could be the problem here?

Thank you in advance, im very confident someone on this forum can be of great help.

P.S I have pretty much the bare minimums connected to the computer interms of harddrives and excess drives etc.

unplug all other drives and make 100% sure what sataport you are using.

Than flash the 360 yourself manual. I never used any ipep for anything and always worked.

my steps are like this:

get original firmware
open firmwaretool box
copy the key
open ixtreme firmware
past the key and save that
flash it
