Hey I've recently flashed my BenQ drive with the iXtreme firmware and am looking to make backups but cant seem to get them working.
Im using the DVD 'Man On Fire' which is 7.83 GB in size to find the magic number. I stop the drive and replace the DVD with my Xbox360 game once ive done this, resuming spinning and starting dumping.
My layout file looks like this:
C19408
D1072
D109344
C1783936
J216896
C88192
J0
But I've also tried:
D19408
D1072
D109344
C1783936
J216896
C88192
J0
Im using a SAMSUNG SH-S182 DVD writer ..
None of them are working. The dump works well for a little while and then starts giving me a "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error." mesage and my ISO file is only about 3 Gb.
I've tried all i can think of, does anyone know how I can fix this problem? Is it because my movie DVD is smaller then 8 Gb that its not working or is it something else?
Aplogies if this post is in the incorrect section ..
Thanks,
moey

You can't make good stealth backups with WXripper.,,...
You can do a few things...
1. Flash you benq with non-firmware and hope the backup are not total creap
2. Flach you bebq temporarily with 0800 firmware and dump from there
3. Buy a Kreon, this is definatly the best option.. and so easy
