I modified my TSH-943 FW to iXtreme 1.4 and now when i turn on the xbox it says Update Required.. and there is no game in the xbox.. im just wondering is it safe for me to do that update or what?

You should be fine to update the console. It must be picking the update from Live I guess?

could also be a memory card or hard drive that you have attached and wasn't before you flashed the drive.
in any case updating the dash wont do any harm to the modified console.

yah i did that update i think it was the hard drive.. anyways works fine now read my backup no problem used some FujiFilm dvds.
so my question is if i go on xbox live wity my backed up game can i get caught or what? or is there just a chance of getting caught? Im using a MS25 dvd drive.
Like i have this drive moded but im still worried of what i can and cant do with it and ive been searching these forums.. with not much luck. i guess the dashboard updates are fine. BUT
Backed up game:
game updates? YES OR NO?
play on xbox live? YES OR NO?
original games:
game updates? YES OR NO
play on xbox live? YES OR NO
if someone could answer those 4 quick questions for me that would be great
