The custom firmware ist the BENQ-CFW.BIN?????

E65: DVD Drive Error.... DVD Timeout, Wrong firmware, dvd is without f/w chip, etc. This can also be caused by the tray not being fully closed on boot.
-
Make a back up of the orig.bin and then reflash the drive...... The firmware is most likely corrupt.... Reboot ff the usb/floppy and re-run fben, this should erase the flash and reflash bens-cfw.bin.... Watch the screen for any errors, wait til the job is finished....
-
If you want to restore the original just boot the USB/floppy you used the first time, as long as you haven't formatted it of re-run iPrep, and run rben.bat... this is a 3rd file for flashing back the benq-ofw.bin....
pretty easy..
-
You probably have a bad flash..... The whole power off/on thing is designed to induce this mode, but seeing as you are already there it gets a little more difficult to get it right....
Try leaving the drive on while you run rben....
-
i reflashed the drive
writing finished!! DataSum: B1F0!!!!!
and the Drive still E65!!!!
What the F.......!!!!!
-
ARE YOU ERASING BEFORE WRITING AGAIN?
-

-
All those errors are coz the flash isn't erased properly......
When you did rben did the E65 go away?????
-
QUOTE(Kotana @ May 9 2008, 08:47 AM)

No, the same E65 after rBen!!!!

is Dosflash better for read and flash?
Is my DRIVE maybe brocken!?!?!?!

i had the same problem http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=649437
it was because the traces were not connected properly!
has your drive been dumped via switch in the past?
-

geezus!! find someone else to do your drive... after reading this thread I think it's safe to
say you aren't technically inclined enough to be doing this kind of thing..
-
what sata card are you using, is it fully compatible..
-
What is the chipset.... What you are doing will pnly definately work with a Via or nfroce 4 chipset.... If yours is not one of these then that is you problem...
Also Raid usually fucks up the entire process..
