Title: Flashing Benq With Usb Drive And Iprep
Post by: Moose_69 on April 26, 2008, 05:28:00 PM
Going to flash my benq drive using iprep but can't get my Dell Inspiron 530s to boot to the usb drive. It shows in my boot options but says no boot device found or give me a flashing - and I have to restart.

What size is the USB device... > 512mb can cause issues

You could see if there is an update for your pc system bios...Although if it shows up the BIOS it's probably OK....

Who would have thought walmart didn't have any floppy discs. I got smaller usb stick but it's a 512mb. I don't think iprep is making it bootable.

got it first try with the new flash drive

i recently had the same problem and had to goto mass storage device configuration in the bios and set it to emulate as force FDD

it then booted iprep

also there is a topic on here that gives a tip on how to get it to boot, you download a hp tool to prep the usb drive, and add windows 98 boot files, then use iprep to make the usb drive ready but don't tick format and make usb drive bootable in iprep

search for the topic i found it the other day on here
