Title: Swapping Drives: Hitachi-lg 79fl W/ Modified Samsung

Okay so basically my friend purchased a new 360 today cause his old one had the RROD error. He got a new 360 with the falcon chip set unfortunately it came with the Hitachi 79FL drive! So basically can he just swap his old modified drive with the new falcon chip set 360?

If it can be done what steps can I take to assure me it will work flawlessly?

no you can't just swop drives  you got to change the drive key, so you may as well get the 79 flashed

He will still need to install the Passkey chip to get the firmware from the 79 drive to read the drive key from.

Without this drive key the drive swap will not load any games.
