Title: Bad Flash On Hitachi 47?

I recently bought a 360 online that was supposedly giving the open tray "error".  So I put a Sammy ms28 in it and boom it works great, but I'm trying to use this hitachi drive on a x clamp fixed 360.  I was goin to replace the lense but it seems to have worked...  I flashed it right, or alteast im pretty sure i did, with FWToolbox 4.6 (spoofed as ms28, swapped key, everything).  Then I got the unplayable disc error. So I tried flashing with the Flashix.bat and it flashed. But gave me some compatibiliy errors.  I tried it in the 360, it reads originals but still won't read backups "unreadable disc" (they work on my other box). I tried reflashing and it won't work, and I also checked the FW on it and it's all legit.  Anybody got any suggestions before I just scrap it and buy an MS28 off of ebay?

Ixtreme 1.4

IPrep
Etc.

You probably have a problem with media.. You could try adjusting the laser, but try different media first, verbatims from Singapore is best.

I use Vebatims and they work great on my Samsung, burn at 2-2.4x... I think it has to do with the drive and the flash because I can't reflash it... I'll try to restore it tomorrow and maybe then I can reflash it.  Otherwise im going shopping!

O yea and I was going to buy a new laser but like I said it seemed to have been working all along... It reads movies but no games!?!?  How would I go about adjusting the laser? Is that those vids I've been seeing on Youtube?

So it plays originals and not backups, are sure your backups are fullly stealthed, I'm nearly sure that's the error you get with a non-stealthed backup when using iXtreme....

Ok so I restored the FW and reflashed, so its not that... the media? I guess it could be, cuz it reads backedup dvd movies too... maybe the laser??? I dunno. I tired using verbatims and tdks and it didnt work...

my backups are all good, xdvdmulleter 10.2 says theyre legit and my samsung 360 plays em no problem...
