Title: Problems Flashing An Ms28
Post by: kid a on February 14, 2008, 12:13:00 AM
Hello, I've been trying to flash my Samsung MS28 drive for a couple of hours and can't even get past the reading stage.

Basically I:

Turn on my computer and 360 at the same time
Boot into the special DOS program made from iPrep
Get my 360 Drive to show up as "Xtreme Pri Master"
Turn off my 360
Select the correct port, wait 10 seconds and turn on my 360,
The reading process begins(There's a loop of going from 0%-99% about four or five times) and I get a finished message.
Finally I get the following error.

>>>> Please REBOOT your PC !

An internal stack overflow has caused this session to be halted.
Change the STACKS setting in your CONFIG.SYS file, and then try again.

At this point I've tried restarting my computer and booting to the DOS program again but when I try to read the firmware again at that point I'm told the directory already exists and when I try to flash it from there I'm told the file I need isn't there.

[Sam-OFW.bin for 360 already exists - aborting!
Sam-CFW.bin doesn't exist - aborting!]

I've tried changing the drivers of my VT6421A SATA card with no luck. I'm using the internal SATA port of the card.

Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance for your comments.
