Title: Playing Pc Games On Xbox

yo, i tried searching about how to do it and stuff but it says the search doesnt work for somereason, anyway just wondering if it has to be ported or is there a program to change all the info in the .exe to run as a .xbe. if it has to be ported etc is there a deus ex port available? (deus ex1 for pc not dx2) thanks for ur time reading this

1.  Here is a famous quote from VampX:

"No source=no port"
You cant turn a exe into an xbe.

2. Some games can be run on dosbox (ie dos games)

3. You can emulate windows (9x or linux) with bochs_xbox

4. You can install Windows or linux on your box.

theres only 1 which gives information about the homebrew of the halo code isnt there?

this question will sound really dumb if u know about it, but i dont so ill ask lol, if i got windows running on my xbox that would run .exe? or is the windows os for xbox running from .xbe?

The Windows os on your xbox will run *.*exe not *.*xbe.

*.*xbe is xbox material

*.*exe is pc (x86) material

If you got win on your xbox and the pc game deusex and halo, you could run them there you problably think.. But then for a moment think again. There is a comprehensive task emulating all the hardware graphics and directx stuff and now i dont even know what iam talking about... To say it in another way:

pc games type: new use your pc

pc games type old with open source hope for someone to port it to your xbox

xbox games: use your xbox. the xbox emulator on pc dont run very well, thinki turok runs now on cxbx (or what ever its called)

I think, correct me if iam wrong on  any points..

Yeah dont get all excited cuz you can run windows thru linux i havent tried it myself but i doubt it will run anything like it would on ur pc
