Title: Have I Bricked My Ms25

I have been trying to flashed my MS25 for some time but I have not been successfu l. I have never been able to read the original firmware from the drive, and I have never attempted to write anything to it. I read all the tuts and this forum over and over again.
I enventually after a week of trying I gave up trying to flash my drive and decided to put it all back together again. Now the xbox will not boot and a red light comes on in the botton right hand corner. I have taken the xbox apart again but all the wires in correctly in position and my xbox will not boot.
Can anybody please help me out as I am at them end of my patience with this and I feel lie just chucking it out the window.
