Title: Recent E75 Error With 1 Flashing Red Light
Post by: Hercules Man on October 30, 2007, 07:34:00 PM
Console was ok until recently, then 3 red lights, then fixed that with x-clamp removal one of RJBTech guide, now its E75 error with bottom right quadrant flashing red, also error 1023 from diags function. seems to boot flashing 2 or 3 green light with a disc in then resort to same single red light, but if i have no disc in it seems there is no delay and instantly an immediate flashing single light. i tried a sata pc cable, straight to right angle i think, straight end into the board, and L shape end into the dvd drive, but still the same result. Only thing i can think is firmware. but, i havent flashed back to my orig.bin yet! drive is an MS28 with ixtreme 1.2c slow i think.

Any ideas?

cheers

Ahh, i found the problem, on the board just below the network connector there is a chip, about 50 legs, 25 legs per side, probably network controller, one of the pins was bent in and touching another pin next to it. got a pin and carefully parted it, and its all good. Phew (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
