Title: What Happen If I Don't Update My Firmware

first off, I'm a new to the xbox 360 dvd rom firmware flashing thing.

I paid someone to flash my Xbox 360 for like $60. I don't know what version is my firmware.
I've read a lot of tutorials and I'm getting confused. It seen like very version of the original firmware or drive has differ way to flash. Also sometime depends on the PC and sata card you have too.

these are my questions
Do I have to update/flash my xbox 360 firmware ever time there is a new version of firmware comes out.
Can I just flash once for all.

by the way, I don't use xbox live on the flashed xbox 360.

if ur not using xbox live then it wont matter what version firmware u have... so no you wouldnt have to reflash it.
