Title: Help! Did I Brick My Xbox?
Post by: jkklim on October 06, 2007, 12:28:00 PM
i tried flashing my xbox 360 (samsung ms28) with iPrep and the latest ixtreme firmware. Everytime i try to execute the iDump command, it tells me that there is an error: the orig.bin isn't 256k. Does this mean I screwed up my xbox drive? I tested to make sure it still plays original xbox 360 games and it does fine.

If your Xbox 360 still loads up then it is not brick.

Yes, if the drive is functioning fine in the 360, then your original firmware is fine.

It sounds like MTKFlash is not completing.  Are you sure you didnt get an mtkflash error when trying to dump (not the samtool file size error)?

Caster.

I only use XBM+mtkflash to flash samsungs.I always stay away from idump, iprep, samxxx etc.. just personal choice and no problem so far.You can check my tutorial which is based on xtreme 3.3 but you can do with any firmware.
