Like the title says when I try to update my 360 with a toshiba samsung drive from 5.3C to ixtreme 1.2 a red ring on the bottom right (when horizontal) lights up and the dashboard never boots up. When I flash the drive with the 5.3C again it works like normal. The method I use to flash is that I insert the drive key into the ixtreme with Maximus - FIRMWARE TOOLBOX V4.0. Then use Xtreme Boot Maker to create a bootable USB drive. This is the method I use to flash my other 360 and I've never had a problem with that one. Any help would be appreciated.

You did a little mess (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Forget about toolbox for a while.
Best thing to do is:
Put your very first ORIG.BIN into iXtreme directory and click on Make iXtreme firmware.cmd
And use file ix12.bin genered by Make iXtreme firmware.cmd to flash you drive. Just it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Good Luck !
