Title: Original Ms25 Dead Getting Ms28

and get on live or does it have to report as an ms28. i mean the difference between the two is just firmware right? or is it in the eeprom that specific type of drive?

the original drive on my system was the ms25, i have the stock ms25 firmware with my key and the stock ms28 firmware (soo nto have my key). so i either have to insert (my key) in the ms28 firmware and spoof as ms25 or can i just flash ms25 (with my key) firmware and it will report to my system as an ms25.


i read THIS and it syas i can use either ms25 or ms28, because MS allowed it to be upgraded (say refurbished and they upgraded it).
