Xecuter Blaster360 Installation Guide and Installed PicturesPosted by XanTium | March 13 23:50 EST | News Category: Xbox360 |

I've got the Xecuter Blaster360 (pre-production) sample for some time now and I made a detailed installation guide for you guys as the final unit should be in retail very soon (this or next week I heard from wholesalers). The final wholesale price dropped a bit too, which dropped the retail price with some retailers in the US/CAN to $75 instead of $80 previously. Anyway, here are a few pictures of the Blaster360 installed on a retail Xbox 360 case so you can see how it looks like. The Blaster360 leds have 3-modes: always-on, glowing or if you don't like it you can disable them completely. The detailed installation guide is available here.
Check out our installation guide: here Pre-Order Blaster360 ($75/€59/£40): Divineo USA/CAN | ModchipStore USA/CAN | ShopNeo UK | MrModchips Europe/UK | Divineo Asia

This would have been more useful to people when firmware updates used to occur more frequently. It's been a while since we've seen any FW updates. At this point, one could just open his or her Xbox 360 once, flash the latest firmware, and keep their $75.
-
Remember...easy game ripping...
looks good though.

Why is it that whenever this product is mentioned its the same repetitive comments...?
Don't read and don't bother to post if you are not interested.
We've heard it all before and it fills up the thread with junk.
Anyway, Thanks XanTium for a nice looking detailed installation guide.

It looks good

It looks like trash, for trash lazy noobs who don't know how to read up on modding themselves. And Team Xecutor or whatever their lame name is just trying to cash in on every way they can.

how is it for trash lazy noobs i would personally use this myself rather than having too open the xbox 360 up all the time to flash the drive with the latest firmware but i will not be getting one myself because they are asking way too much, of couse there going to try and make cash however they can thats what companys do.

you've gotta remember also, even though you are shelling out 80 bucks for this, if you buy from xecuter you know it's quality.
now that firmware is pretty much at the best it's going to be at for awhile, you can always use it to easily backup your games.

It's great! Exactly what i waited for... :-) Thanks to Executer and XanTium for the tutorial.
-
Been waiting for it! Nice job TeamXecuter!
For me it´s great ´cause keeps the console away from scratches and any broken piece when you are opening it. It may not happen when you open it 5 times but, so far, mine it´s been opened almost 20, making much more easier to break something on the process.
I think it´s a great product. I´ll get one.

For 50 bucks on the BST forum you can buy a kreon flashed PC drive that is a whole lot easier.

That's exactly what I did. And it is indeed a lot easy. I like the look of the blaster, but since the latest FW are installed and working good for me, why spend more ?

I'm very happy with my xbox Xecuter 3CE and its the best around, but for this 360 firmware patcher I dont think so.
If they're going to release an X360 Mod-chip in the near future I will be very happy to buy one at once.
-
I would buy this rather than a blatent rip of clone. Nice work Team Xecuter.
-
Overpriced, don't waste your money on this garbage.
-
$5 price drop isnt gonna cut it!
i think the quailty willl be the same as teh $40 one.

6 months ago sure. Today? Not so much.

couldn't agree with you more... this whole mode-b option on the top seems a bit obsolete if you ask me since firmware is flashed only once very easy.., but for those who enjoy it i'm pleased
i bought stock samsung SH162C drive for $15, then flashed with kreon 0.81.. works like a charm.. the ones who are spending $75 just to rip games with this unit are not really smart. but maybe they like the lights or something
nice piece of equipment indeed.. must've been quite good engineers who made this device.. looks very well thought through.. i'm not to fond of the enclosure of the holes though

I would personally be more interested if it didn't have like 10 parts. Why didn't they just make it so you have to cut the metal case a little. They could have gotten rid of like 5 parts if they did that, and the price would have been 1/2. WAY too much time/effort/$ went in to making this thing install without modifying the case if you ask me. Especially since the clone that came out got around it so easily by simply removing the metal shielding lol...
Still, I find myself intrigued to buy one at some point...

That rip off clone is half the frickin price with the same functionality. Are you some rich bastard...? The world needs to work like this so companies should give an eye out for the consumers, not just for their pockets.... If there was no xeno, then xecuter could have probably increased the price even more.

I want to flash my box but i only have 1 360. I play on live a lot so im scared of losing it.

What does it do?

If you paid 50 bucks, you got jipped. if you know where to look you could have gotten that $16 dollar dvd drive elswhere and flashed it with kreon yourself for half the price.
I just want to clarify what my intentions were when i said this since I've gotten a few pm's about how or where to get one of these drives for $16.
Truth is, right now you cant. Since it was discovered this drive can rip games with a modified firmware, sellers are jacking up the price. I believe before this fact was known, this drive sold for around $20. People, especially those who say they have like 20 of them ready to be shipped, are the culprits for the double price. granted, some may have gotten them at a higher price, but still looking for a profit. I was lucky enough to get one between 30-35 buck shipped, just as the craze was beginning. The more people who know this drive can help them make backups of their games, the higher the price will go. So, no, you can't find it for 16 bucks, but IMO if you can find one for the price I paid, I'd say you found a good deal. Just look around, I don't have any special links or people I know that can get one cheap, so don't bother asking.
To sum it up--
These drives are 20 dollar drives that people are cashing in on. If you feel 50 bucks is a fair price to pay for being able to backup your investments, then more power to you. I'm not saying 50 is bad, but if you do some research outside of this forum, you might just find a better deal. Truth is the price is being padded because they are hard to find and the only one with its capabilities.
Let's not make this thread about the samsung drive, its about the blaster360, which IMO may not be worth the price, but having a quality device that doesn't make you keep taking your system apart is a good product in my book.
