Post by: VVaI2LoCk on December 19, 2006, 05:48:00 AM
I upgraded my Sammy drive(M25) firmware about 4 months ago and now I want to put 5a on. What's the easiest way to upgrade. Do I have to take everything apart again or is their an eaiser way.

Thanks In Advance

You have to take everything apart again, plus you'll need to put in the Enable0800 DVD+R DL for about 10 seconds to unlock the FirmGuard just before you flash.  .ISO for the DVD is included in the .ZIP or .RAR along with the Xtreme firmware.

just create the xtreme f/w of choice edited with YOUR key inserted, then you can flash over what is on there now.  no need to revert back to original 1st.  You should probably use the "make xtreme50.bin report as ms25" to create your X50.bin so you dont need to worry about e66
