Hi,
After much fun I finally got my Hitachi 47DJ flashed using a Sil3112A PCI card. The card came configured for RAID and didn't detect my Hitachi at all, let alone let me put in Mode B with the Slax CD.
To get this to work you need these downloads:
Latest Sil3112a SATALink (no RAID) BIOS:
http://www.siliconimage.com/docs/BIO-003112-xxx-4279.zip
Sil3112A DOS Flasher:
http://www.siliconimage.com/docs/SiI3x12A-...20Utilities.zip
Latest Windows 32bit IDE (no RAID) Driver to match new BIOS:
http://www.siliconimage.com/docs/3x12_x86_13652_logo.zip
1) Boot into DOS and flash the card with the base BIOS not the RAID bios (see readme).
2) Reboot into XP and install the new SATALINK driver.
3) Boot with SLAX 2.0 CD - Don't connect the 360 drive to to card until after SATA bios clears or it freezes.
4) After ModeB message, reset and boot into XP (don't need to wait for login prompt).
5) Drive should now show up in SATA BIOS and XP.
6) Flash away!
This should work with any Sil3112A based SATA PCI chipset card.

Can anyone confirm that this works?

i havn't flashed my system yet, but i was able to change the sata card from Raid to ide using those instructions.

Just to add that apparently some 3112 cards don't support flashing, most do though. The DOS flasher will report an error if yours doesn't support it, so worth a try.
