Have you read the great 360USB tutorial written by Adamscybot??
-
I am sure this is not too much help.. but are you sure you have ALL the file needed on the usb?
Like maybe there is a missing file? So it cannot recognize it?
You got the tools and releases from the "usual places" correct and not some peer to peer location?
-
Nobody had this problem ??
-
I can try to help you if you still need it

Hi, im the guide creator.
You need to pay more attentioned to the CD commands. Last time I saw someone with the find error it was there problem because the CMD prompt wasnt in the directory where FLASH22S.BAT is. Remember, is not flash22.bat its FLASH22S.BAT. Anyway, yeh Im sure your in the wrong folder. Look at this:
7. Now type "CD\" and press enter.
8. Now you must type "CD EXTRACTEDFOLDERLOCATIONHERE" and press enter. You must replace EXTRACTEDFOLDERLOCATIONHERE with the full path of the extracted folder. E.g. My command could be "CD C:\extractedfolder" but yours is the FULL path the folder you extracted the files too.
Make sure your EXTRACTEDFOLDERLOCATIONHERE is EXACTLY right. Dont go trying to launch is from after CD/ by entering the full path + batch file because as soon as it tries to find all the other files, it will be looking in C: when its not there.
Follow steps 7 and 8 EXACTLY. Then do this:
Type "FLASH22S.BAT DRIVELETTER UNIQUENUMBER" where DRIVELETTER is the letter that has been assigned to your Xbox 360 drive and UNIQUENUMBER is any 4 digit number you can think off. E.g. My command could be "FLASH22S.BAT N 7456" but yours will be different. Press enter, and wait for the pass/done line - you now have a flashed drive.

Please can you reply adamscybot if what i have typed above is correct as im desperate to get this done m8

Naughty. Dont offer any such-a-thing on here.
Hmmmm. The problem, is with GaryOPA's flash. Birdys may be the only option left. HOWEVER, birdys flash is well known to be a bit...unreliable and has bricked drives. Be careful, or get some help from garyOPA somehow.
Anyone else with this problem should post there hitachi rom version in this topic.
In the meantime, I can only suggest the obvious. Try it on a friends machine (probably will work) and redownload the firmware package.

Hi xboxwat,
It's possible that the find.exe command is missing from your pc. Try to search the system drive ( normally c:) for find.exe. For Xp it should be found in windows\system32.
Another way to test if the "find" is the problem is to go to start, run, type cmd, enter. You will get a black screen. Type find /?. if it shows the find.exe options then the problem is somewhere else. If it shows error , try to copy the find.exe from another pc with the same operating system.
Thanks for the solution. I will add it to the guide's FAQ.
