Hack360 v4.1 USB Toshiba-Samsung

Flash78 released v4.1 of his FW flashing tool that allows you to patch the Toshiba-Samsung TS-H943 firmware with PPF patches. The tool can be used from a bootable USB key.
This new version, comes with the latest Commodore4eva Xtreme v4.1 FW in PPF-format (all older C4E FWs also available):

I update the Hack360 pack to last firmware. This version can generate an original firmware (ms25) and convert any firmware or original to another version. Thanks to Kaos2K to translate new version. This version only works in pendrives, in the next few days I'll make a CD and Floppy version.

What exactly is this, and how is it used?

I have my 360 flashed with Xtreme v3.3, does this let me upgrade my firmware or what?

Thanks.

Xtreme Boot Maker (which uses X360SAM 4.0) still seems like a better solution to me.  Hex-edits MTKFlash for you, and works with USB, floppy, and NTFS4DOS CD (from hard drive).  One thing I do like about this is the included keygen program, which displays your drive key.

Nice work FLash. Also, For the people who want to know. What are the steps to generate the Original MS25 firmware for those who have lost. A quick run down would be nice for helping others out who are in that type of situation. Thanks!

Sorry to sound like a n00b, but does this mean that you can flash your TS drive without SATA connections?

If not, any ideas how long it will be before you can do this using just usb and not SATA?

Cheers

Just to help clerify for you, this is just another way to boot (ie. usb) giving people the option to make a bootable usb instead of floppy for firmware adjustments.

This is next to impossible (if not impossible) since the back of the dvd drive is a SATA connection. The only way this would be possible is if:

A) there exists a USB to SATA Cable
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) someone wrote the code in order to do it this way

as of right now, the only way of flashing is through SATA...someone correct me if I'm wrong

So this program will generate an original firmware from scratch?

Hi!
i've patched using the 4.1 auto patcher, i used the b for slower speed, now i want to switch to fast speed, problam is, every time i try to read the firware so it can be later patched by the boot disk, it gets stack and won't read it, i think it's because of the safe guard things which ment to keep MS from reading it.

how do i solve it?
how do i read and patch the drive??

thanks!

Use the 0800 disc to disable FirmGuard.  Read the readme that comes withone of Commodore4Eva's Xtreme 4.x firmware packages.  You burn the enable0800.iso to a DVD+R DL using CloneCD.
