The makers of the Globe360 DVD FW chip for Toshiba-Samsung / Hitachi-LG(up to v59) drives released a new firmware:

We released the GLOBE firmware 2.1, this is the last version available that will support all the last changes in HITACHI [OPA Xtreme v2.1] and SAMSUNG [C4E Xtreme v3.3] firmwares.

To flash the socketed chip on the globe360 you'll need a programmer like this Willem Programmer.
