in the readme it says:
On the RESTORE routines (restore.bat) you must flash the sectors on
inverse order, so first restore 90033000 and then 90005000
never flash the second sector before flashing sucessfully the first
one or you will KILL the read routine and brick the drive
(no more windows detection)
i had no idea how to do this so i restore using restore.bat <drive letter> 90033000 1000. and did the same for 90005000 1000

i think i may have bricked my drive cause now i cant flash again.. any help on how to fix this problem.

Hi exactly which flash program were you using to restore the drive?

What firmware were you restoring from?

Why didnt you ask questions first?

i flashed OPA-XTREME-HITACHI-7IN1-V2_1. then applied the fw stealth patch.

i thought it was working.. but the fw stealth is just a test for hackers to start playing with it. i thought it was a working hack just like the samsung. so then i decided to revert and i ran restore.bat

now i think its bricked.. i need some help pls

connect it back to your pc.

get it into mode b. (but sounds like it is stuck in mode cool.gif

type restore.bat (x) x being drive letter using OPA-XTREME-HITACHI-7IN1-V2_1

If this fails open the tray manually before connecting to pc and try again.

Im sure the patch you tried to apply is for the birdy flasher ? This may be why you encountered problems.

ok so now.. my dvd drive blinks all the time.. doesnt eject and it is not recognised by windows.. the last thing i did to it was resotore it. then tried flashing it with opa and got stuck on the first step like the i posted on top.

need some help pls. is it bricked?? is there a way to fix this? the readme file on the stealth fw warns the possibility of this.. is there a way to revert.

I'm pretty sure you've bricked it.  To restore from the stealth firmware, you were supposed to encrpyt the firmware then use the flash app (from the Maximus release).  For example, the commands you should have ran for a 47 drive were:

firm e hacked.bin hacked-e.bin
47flash f hacked-e.bin 90033000 1000
47flash f hacked-e.bin 90005000 1000

and then run restore.bat

Yeah, that part of the readme was lacking indeed.

Can you get another drive?

hey i need some help here.. so i flashed my 59dj drive with Gary OPA Extreme V2.1 and also applied the stealth firmware. what i want to do now is to flash my drive with the new Gary firmware v2.2. Should i restore my drive back to its original state? if so? what commands should i use?..  should i just type simply restore.bat and after that flash my drive again with Gary's 2.2 firmware?. any help would much be appreciated.. rolleyes.gif

Everybody is really scared everytime they have to restore and reflash their drives again. So am I tongue.gif
I have the OPA-XTREME-HITACHI-7IN1-V2_1 and just that. Is it safe for me to just use restore.bat in that release and then flash with Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_2_Stealth 8in1 or should i also use
the "firm e hacked.bin hacked-e.bin
47flash f hacked-e.bin 90033000 1000
47flash f hacked-e.bin 90005000 1000

and then run restore.bat" - way?
I use team-xecuters X360 USB + connectivity kit if that matters.
Would love it if this version made my backups done with my NEC 2510 burner work.. Anyone got any info on this? Saw some guy with a NEC 3550 who made a successfull backup i think, any confirmation on this?
