Posted by XanTium | August 11 16:46 EST

Team-xecuter.com already released a new version of the sourcecode for their XHM Project (an 'open-source' DVD patchmod project for the Xbox360).
The samsung v1.00 sourcecode was released earlier today. If you missed it, read here for full details.

What's new/fixed (v1.00->v1.02):
* Fixed a few minor bugs already and made it a bit more stable

At first I felt that TX had done this to get back at the competing modchip makers, who have recently released these firmware injecting chips and possibly leave them with their pants down and a bunch of useless chips to piss on.  I don't discount this as a motivating factor, yet I can't help but think this project is cool cool.gif . Instead of producing a high quality chip and trying to squeeze the scene for some cash they have put it back into our hands.  I personally have some new found respect for team Xecuter.

I think its a great idea.  Hopefully it will stop people wasting money on NME chip etc (if anyone has actually bought it?!)

I'd like to build one of these things, but I think I'll wait for some more advanced people to test it out and make a simple guide on how to!

Hopefully a sense of satisfaction will be there when you get it all working since its home made!

i still dont understand why people just dont flash their 360 Drives, maybe for fear of getting banned but what happens if u put in a backup and it starts doing its "on-the-fly" patching... you'll still get banned from live :S... that is if people start getting banned for using a flashed drive or an on-the-fly patching mod chip... i dont see it happening anytime soon though..
