Title: Need Help Connecting Xbox 360 Drive To Pc

I'm losing my mind.  I am so desperate to get this working.

I decided to try the crossed wires method.  I've got a copper wire inserted into the top right hole and the bottom left hole (0 & 9, i think).  I hold the ends together and start the 360.  The green light comes on immediately, so I immediately separate the wires.  However, I don't get the flashing green light to indicate that it's in debug mode.  I've tried 5 or 6 times.

What am I doing wrong now?

press eject on the drive (2 times) then push the tray closed manually. If the Lights arent blinking green you are not in modeb.

How long do I hold the wires together while i'm doing that?
