i just got my 10th console today and it seems to be working, so i opened it up and dumped my firmware (5x and checked to make sure they where all the same) with no problem, flashed the drive with 800 and got it detected in windows with no problems, riped the SS from Oblivion still no problems,
I Sent the CDB command to unlock the drive and i got that "No Sense" error that I've heard everyone talk about (i searched and searched but couldn't find anything on it),
Ive tried Sending the CDB command with the game in with the game out with the Disk tray in and with the disk tray out, While its ejecting and while its loading the disk tray but cant seem to get it to unlock the drive (it says the image is 6.??MB, with Video_ts and Audio_ts for folders),
am i doing something wrong?, or what do i need to do?
As Always Thanks for the Help

yes I had the same error message but I ignored it and continued and my dump still worked fine
btw you going to want to enter the code after the disk loads
(now I must get the faster and better wxRipper methade working)

are you ripping your game properly? there are plenty of tuts here on x-s on how to do it. from my understanding you would either use the xbox 360 drive hooked up to your pc to read the disc, or you would use a opened pc dvd drive and do a hotswap (taking the lid off the drive, NOT using the pinhole). the 6mb file leads me to belive that you are getting the layer with the little video that says "Put this disc in an xbox 360 console" that it wills how if you put a retail game in an xbox, a stand alone dvd player, a ps2, anything that reads dvd's thats not a 360.

well its not a question about am i riping the game right its a question of how can i get the drive unlocked so i can rip the game, i refuse to use the open DVD drive method because non of my DVD drives have the disk holder actually on the top of the drive (nor do they have that emergency eject), so basically i need this to work, no one has solved the problem of the "No Sense" error?

the fact its showing the video folders tells me its working fine... im assuming your set up the lba info is isobuster to extend past the layerbreak...
*EDIT*
you sure you sent the command correctly? try a full version or a diff version of dvdinfo pro..

o you mean "SS_Patcher1_5o" i have it i doubt it will send cdb commands or extract but ill check it out
-
"an error accured", i also tryed Dumping the SS and they where never the same so i think theres something wroung with its connection to the pc, has anyone gotten it to rip in XP pro SP2 MCE?
-
also tried Unlocker 0.1 by the specialist, it locked up my comp, and when i didn't have a game in it gave me a error
-
im gunna ask this because i have to... so dont take offense to it
take a picture of the top of your dvd drive so we can see the make and model
are you working with the right dvd drive type ?
and how new is this console meaning whats the manufacturing date ?
anyone think maybe possibly a hidden dashboard update that is locking the dvd firmware into place or has changed the way it has to be unlocked or flashed it with an unlockable firmware..? just a thought.
i did have an update when i played PGR3 the other day but i dont know what it was.. maybe the cadillac update ?
and what OS are you running ?

I replied in your XBH thread, I'll copy and paste it in here too.
Also, this is how I have my drive connected.
Running Windows Media Center Edition 2005 (Basically XP Pro SP2 with a Media Center)
I have the drive powered by the Xbox 360 through the 12-pin cable, and the SATA is hooked up to the computer. Both my Xbox 360 and computer are off. I power on my computer only. It doesn't see anything, because the DVD drive technically isn't there (no power). I wait until Windows and all startup programs are completely loaded. I have SATA/RAID drivers for my motherboard already installed. I hit eject on my Xbox 360, the DVD drive ejects and my computer gives me a message that says Drive Connected! I look in My Computer and it shows up as a DVD-ROM drive. I put in the game. It never locks up if I do it that way.
As for the "No Sense" error,
QUOTE
Grim, I have received the "No Sense" error everytime I have sent that command. ISOBuster sees no file system, so I know the drive is unlocked correctly. All of my backups have played perfectly, haven't made a single coaster yet. Now, here's something interesting: if I open up DVDInfoPro and skip the ss extraction and just send the unlock signal, I will still get the "No Sense" error. But, the drive doesn't unlock. I open up ISOBuster and I see the Audio and Video folders. This is also interesting: If I extract the ss from the disc using the four commands, the drive is unlocked. If I completely skip the "unlock" command, all I'm doing is saving myself some time, because the drive is already unlocked after extracting the SS.
So...maybe the "unlock" command isn't even necessary at all. Just extract your ss and then open up ISOBuster.
-
i got another drive and tried that and it dident work, will it unlock more then once (i ejected and forgot to put in the game and tryed unlocking (it showed up as a cd drive)?
-
I got the same no sense error and did a bit of searching
, I found that it works if you just enter in the cdb commands to get the security sectors, it unlocks it. Works for me. Explored it and I burned it fine though on my XBOX 360 it hangs at reading. Is it the media?
