Can someone test this for me?

This tool makes a bootable USB key including all the files needed to backup, flash and recover your Xbox360 Firmware.



!!!You will need to copy your key across using KDX v1.5 manually in Windows before reflashing the modified firmware!!!



Isobuilder, wxRipper, XBOX360 SS Merger 1.3 and KDX v1.5 are in-cluded, as is my tutorial for manual firmware modification.

Installation:    

1. - Extract the archive to your hard drive  
 
2.- Insert your USB Stick    

2. - Format your USB Stick with the HP Usb Disk Storage Format Tool in-cluded select FAT32 and "Create a DOS Startup Disk", using the files in-cluded. Check the Pictures folder for visual assistance!

3. - Copy the contents of the archive to the root directory of your USB Stick

4. - Adjust Your BIOS Settings to boot from the USB Stick

5. - Boot to your USB Stick

6. - run autoexec.bat to start.

Anyone tried this yet? Would be great cuz it's more reliable then a floppy?

the bootable files work perfectly for any usb key, not just for flashing the xbox. I have everything on my key smile.gif

But yes, it is MUCH safer than floppies.

i had alot of problems dumping my firm to usb when i first did it days ago... it would come out  all F6F6 after the first few bytes... dumped to a fat32 hdd instead and it worked fine

remember to show system files...they are hidden by default

remove isobuilder (has a large dummy file in it) to fit the package onto <64mb usb keys

I used this method to get the firware off my sammy drive but when i try to click modify firware to play backups it gives an error saying fail to init from source or such. any suggestions? I am using version 2 of this. I copied the original firmware to 3 locations, then got the key with kdx and opened xtreme_propr.bin and copied key and saved firm then copied to usb and it just causes the error.
