Sounds like you emulator folks live the in the lap of luxury. From the dark depths of one's basement to the beaches of the Bahammas, the coding squad gets their phr33k on.
a dreamcast emulator would be fun, but how many games would you expect to play
even if it played 2 games, at like 15 fps.... I would SHIT MY PANTS!!!!1[/SIZE]
Doubt its true, I dont trust spanish forums as the translation is not to be trusted.

NOONE suspects the Spanish Inquisition!
It's doubtful at the moment with the source code not available yet (unless the authors have done it) but it is possible in the future, but porting it would be more time consuming, adding virtual memory is one, and optimising it secondly (would be slow without it)
I do recon we'll see the emulator ported it to the xbox eventually though, the dreamx 1.4GHz has the potential to emulate a few games well
I remember reading on the main page about this news item a month or two ago.. let's hope it happens
My dreamcast is sexier than my xbox
but back on topic...
the games would probably(definitely) run like crap, heck the n64 emulation and ps1 ain't even perfect. Dc's a powerful system.

what about the occasionaly "crap" game
like the ps1 has those 2d games, and those run perfect
im not so big on the dreamcast so i don't know alot of games for that thing
are there any dc games that you would think that they would run good
and "low budget" games at all
I doubt it would every run even near to full spead. It would probably be worse then pcsxDC (ported psx on dreamcast that runs very slow 15fps or less 4fps in some cases)
Man, I undertand all the old school emus, I tossed all my old atari and nes shit a while back. But you can go buy a DC for 25$ at the pawnshop down the Street and play all the DC games at full speed!!! WOW!
I wish people would stop with the DC shit.. It aint gonna happen. And even if it does, would you want to release somthing that plays 5% of the games and even then at half speed???? I know I wouldnt... I would post some screenies to show what can be done... but that would be it. Because you know the nature of the scene... you release somthing that aint 80% perfect and people treat you like you owe them somthing and bitch and complain and "when is so and so game gonna work" I just wouldn bother if I was them... My dc sits right above my xbox and i play the shit out of the MOST UNDERATED system of all time.... friends still come over and tell me how they never knew the DC was such a good looking system... Half the games still look good by Todays standards and they stopped making games like what ?? 2 years ago??
Take a pill guys and ask for somthing more reasonable like a atari7800 emu ;)
the one system I tossed before I found a suituble Xbox emu for hehe :(
I still got my DC, 2 working controllers (a good friend of mines bought me 4, mint, on eBay just recently), and a box full o' games right at my side.
Still seeing an emulator of it for Xbox would be okay.
Indeed. As easy as it is to acquire anything for Dreamcast you should just go for the original...I hear a dreamcast system plays all dreamcast games nearly full speed. Unfortunately, there's no plans for an update to cut down load times.

Heh.. south of which border?

I personally would have to say that would be the Sega Saturn. Dreamcast had a ton of populatiry for its time and was recieved well. Saturn really was overshadowed by psx
what about using virtual ram wont that help with frame rate problems ?

"can you switch out a processor? "
Yes...
http://www.xbox-scen...EEVUiHXGtuI.php
It has a 128mb RAM upgrade and a cpu upgrade to 1400mhz

that would more than likely be required anyway, the dyneric (however it's spellt) takes up at least 20megs of RAM up as it is
