Title: Oh Noes! E79 Falcon!
Post by: wheresaldo on December 13, 2010, 01:23:00 PM
I have read many posts but still looking for a solution

Whenever I flash xell.bin  (or even  xbr.bin), using nandpro20b I get e79.  But I can easily re flash to orig.bin and no e79

I have a falcon mobo:
Cb 5770,
7371 dash.

I have 3 good nand dumps, no bad blocks

I can read and write ok as I can get my orig.bin flashed back on and booted up w/out e79 so lpt wiring must be correct. I have double checked my jtag wires and diodes several times.

I have inserted kv and config  into .bin files

Im lost please help

is it true that even without jtag jumper and diodes xell should install? I have wires  installed but trying to troubleshoot.....

Your JTAG wiring is definitely wrong.

Redo it wire by wire and try again.

I have redone them unsuccessfully. going to try the faster bat41 diodes but I can't locate them. Was hoping radio shack had an alternative.....

looks like xell can be flashed and ran without the bridge and diode jtag. I can't even get that far yet

if you are absolutely positive your wiring is correct i recommend you check to see if you accidentally  desoldered the r2e2 resistor when you were putting the wiring in place that will cause e79 everytime you can fix it by soldering a 1.5 k resistor back in place

Change to the aud_clamp wiring and then use a patched smc.bin to suit.
