Title: Are Nxe Installs Smaller Than Xexloader Rips?
Post by: akijikan on January 13, 2010, 07:44:00 AM
The only thing I don't like about going to NXE installs is still having to burn discs.

Why do you still have to burn a disc? Surely you have the original...

the NXE rips should always be slightly bigger as it enters security info every few hundred bytes to make sure you dont edit anything while its on the hard drive whereas xbreboot just rips the files as they are.

Delete the SYSTEMUPDATE folder in XEXLoader and it is now the smaller one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

i couldn't install a couple of my originals cause they were so badly scratched... this is kind of the point of burning new discs...

i dunno if nxe or xex is better, but now i just FTP the whole extract which is pretty much faster than any other matter. in the long run a few hundred mb won't matter that much
