this seems to be very popular now
i love it :luv:
Uh huh...
Oh Yeah..
Looks for pretzels smilie...
Not that I would know what to do with half of this stuff. I was more of an Amiga user myself.
But still great to see!
Any advantage to increasing memory or changing TOS's?
Anyone?
holy cow! ArnoldX WinUAEx and WinSTonX updated within a matter of hours!
Youre a automation XPort! :D
madmab... the advantages to the new TOS and RAM functionality is that some hacked ST games dont work with certain versions of TOS, whilst others require 1MB Ram.

Cool thanks for the info. Is there any signs or symptoms to go by? Or is it just a trial and error thing figuring out if you need different TOS/RAM configs?
play dungeon master with 1mbyte and it will cache levels. (But playing the Amiga one is more fun cos it has more sounds and features)
I dont think ISHAR works with only 512k, just says need more RAM.
;) xports on fire !

It's trial an error. For general game compatibility TOS 1.2 with 1MB ram is probably best.
Whenever I insert a disk into Drive B it brings up the configuration menu (odd).
In addition you would think the "Disk in Drive A" and "Disk in Drive B" options would be on the initial configuration screen.
Also the music starts back up when exiting a game. I had "Start with music" set to No and "Turn of music when playing" to Yes.
So far so good, though I need to copy some TOS files over when I get a chance.
For those who are interested. There was a release by the gamebaseST team recentally which appears to have a large amount of updates.
GamebaseST uses the same program as the Gamebase 64.
Apparently there are Gamebases for other systems, although I'm not sure how complete they are.
Excellent emulator. The TOS settings in particular are excellent and up compatibility no end. Oids now works!
I still have a strange USB keyboard problem. In certain games(Thrust & Knights of the Skies to name 2) the USB keyboard doesn't work, but the virtual keyboard/mapped keys to joypad work fine.
Thrust is particularly strange. The USB keyboard will let you enter your name on the high score table, and start the game, but the ingame key input is only accepted from the virtual keyboard or joypad mapped keys. No response from USB keyboard keys. As it is a keyboard only game this is quite frustrating.
Otherwise though, like I said earlier, top emulator.
Hi !
okay, its a very good idea to include ToS changer !
BUT.... I cannot change my tos v1.0 with (for example) TOS 1.2.
How can i do that !!???
the letter D: is my dvd rom drive !!
So i try to rename this file : Tos v1.2.img to Tos_a.rom and i make an XBox iso after.
I put my CD in xbox drive and i check my file with an explorer....no problem...
But Winston not found Tos_a.rom etc... when i launch a game.
Please, can you help me ???
 ;)

I can't find either the option for changing the amount of memory, or the option to change the TOS anywhere in the configuration menu. This is definitely v6 I have as it does include the graphic filter options. I've reinstalled it a few times.. any ideas anyone?
