Title: Softmod Question

hey guys,

i have a chipped xbox, and a non-chipped xbox..

can i put the non-chipped xbox's hdd in the chipped xbox, load XBMC on it, and then put it back into the non-chipped xbox for a softmod?

i dont have access to the games/action replay equipment other people use to softmod their xbox's
