I'm planning on selling my Game Boy Player in order to get enough money to buy an xbox and I was wondering the differences of quality and graphics between the Game Boy Player and XboyAdvance. If anyone owns a Game Boy Player and tried out XboyAdvance, please reply :)

Real GB Player all the way, even though it has some small issues like the occasionally not 100%-perfect scrolling and looking a bit unsharp in the fullscreen-mode. The XBox's CPU is just not fast enough to handle the hungry VBA-emu, so you have speed-issues with about any game aside from stuff like "Scrabble", even with simple graphic-filters. Oh yeah, and of course there's no slot to put your GBA-Cartridges in. :)

Well i haven't tried The gameboy player but i must say that Xboyadvance is magnificent and for me is PERFECT for all of my needs... don't use my gba because of it!
-
I haven't used a GBPlayer, but a modded Xbox with every GBA ROM would be better than a GBPlayer, just because of having all the games and the other things a modded Xbox can do.

I have both the GBA and GameBoy Player, and hare's the long and short of it.
GameBoy Player: Home Paly
GBA: On the Road Paly

You could get a blank GBA cartridge and fill it with 20 or so games at a time for $50. I sold my GBA. With my Xbox I can play GBA, NES, SNES, Genesis, PSX, N64, etc, and of course, Xbox games! Xbox all the way.

GBA emulation is choppy on xbox. don't expect miracles.
-
this is a hard one, i have both
the xbox emu works fine just as good as the player for gc,
only thing is you cant take the game with you which sucks!
i have a 256mb flash card do i can flash the games on my blank cartridge.
it can hold about 4 games, or a bunch of nes games sms games and snes games, or u can mix them up.
i like the flash card and the gc player a lot more than the xbox emu

thanks guys for all your help. I have a flash cartridge for my GBA and I just play my games on the GB Player and hardly use the GBA anymore. I was planning on selling my GBA, flash cart, and GB Player so I can get enough money to buy an xbox that can do basically a flash cart + GB Player does but with more games and I needed feedback from people who know the difference between the two. Also, the thing about flash cart is that you would basically have to play about 2-4 games at a time and is kind of a hassle to switch between games. I'm sure saving is easier on XboyAdvance too right?
So what should I do, GB Player + flash cart or Xbox + XboyAdvance?

I would go for the xbox, but only because it does many other things well - mame emulation, movies, snes, genesis, and of course xbox games themselves. but I'm telling you, gba emulation is not good on xbox. its unacceptably choppy unless you are very forgiving/uncritical or maybe blind. For a good example of the performance you'd get, download visual gameboy advance for PC and turn frameskip to 2 or higher. It hurts my eyes with scrolling games (almost everything on gba).

Defenitly the GBA-Player !
Xbox is just too slow for good GBA emulation.
For example Metroid Zero mission needs at least a frameskip of 2 to run fluent - not to mention the music-lagg that happens in alot of games.
Playing games with frameskip just isnt the same as playing them "fluent" as floyd already mentioned.
So imo keep the GBA-Player and wait a bit till you have the money for an Xbox :)
