Title: Nme Associator For Mac?
Post by: cpuwhiz on October 02, 2008, 02:51:00 PM
I am installing an NME 2.0 for a customer and it turns out he only has a Mac.  Does anyone know of a way to patch ISOs for the NME on a Mac?

Thanks in advance

I am looking into supporting the NME 2.0 format with OSx360. I need to find a little more data on how the associator works first.

Don't know if this helps, but this is a bit of info taken from the NME site:
QUOTE

Q: Why is your solution not compatible with Xtreme images?
A: We started development before the Xtreme hack was available, and
decided that the end of the 2nd layer was the perfect spot for the security
sector. As it is not at the same location as the Xtreme hack, the ISO needs to
be converted first.

Q: Can you explain a bit more in detail?
A: To keep the number of wires as small as possible, we carefully selected
the location of our security sector, and chose PSN 0xFC021E. Originally
the SS is at 0xFD021E. Also our security sector is of a more compressed
type, requiring less patches in the firmware and therefore less wires to solder.
