Hi,
I have backed up many of my own games using the orginal format but i recently bought C&C3, oblivion, splinter ell double agent ,and call of juarez and i am having trouble. I'm using schtrom 3.2, samsung sh-d162c drive, pionerr 111d burner, nme assoctaor and image burn. I was able to get call of juarez and oblivion both to extract fine. However i burned call of juarez and tried to play it and it says to put this game in a 360 console or something. Im burning oblivion as we speak to see what happens with that. The other 3 games wont even extract. I'll either get a error right away saying GetnewphysialFormat failed or it will get to 3% and says cant extract SS. I bought these games used and c&c3 and splinter cell both have some scrtahes on it, will these scratches be the cause of the errors in schrtom. also i used to use 3.1 schrtom but it seem it didnt work for som e newer games so i dled 3.2 and couldnt get that to work at all at one point. so i dled XBC2.5. Well now i got schrtom 3.2 working and even when i use schtrom to extract there never is a file with .000 like there used to be, instead its .iso. does this matter??? I have always burned the image file (the bigger file) to cd but i read in a thread someone said to burn the .dvd file. How can that be right?

Ok, first to clear up your last questions. Yes, in Schtrom 3.2 the ISO is used instead of the .000, but when actually burning with ImgBurn (thats what i use anyway) you select the .dvd file.
So, in summary, you do your converting with nmeaSSociator to the ISO file (or .000 if using an older version of Schtrom), then you select the .dvd file when burning with ImgBurn.
Now, as far as your other problem, it definately sounds like the disc. A scratched disc will result in you getting a message somewhere along the lines of "Cant read, replace sectors with 0?, this WONT happen on Xbox 360 games" or something like that.
Xbox Backup Creator might be a slightly better option for those games that are scratched, because it has the ability to "retry" reading the sectors. So, for instance, if the game skips when trying to read or is scratched, XBC gives you the option to re-read the missing/scratched file.
Now, about why Juarez wont play, I honestly cant give you a straight answer, because it could be a number of things. Like maybe a bad burn, bad disc, your Xbox 360 dvd drive laser may be crapping out a little, etc....
