Post by: matan911 on May 05, 2007, 02:45:00 AM
Hello

Before a week ago I was installed the nme 1.2 in electornic company , now if i want to play backup games
i need to insert the disc wait for the "error" open tray and im open him and close X2.

now my question is , why its happens ?
Why its not working while im insert the disc at the first time?

now when im insert an original disk the xbox told me to clean the disc and restart the game.

there is a solution for this?

thanks

I dont know exactly what you mean.  Are you saying that you have to eject the backup 2 times before it will start playing?

Yea, I can't understand much of what your saying. More information could also be helpful. What type of drive? What type of modchip? The media your using?

What's confusing is what happens when you insert a original disk. If properly installed you shouldn't get a dirty disc error.

Please help us so that we can help you.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I have the Hitachi (78) DVDRom with The NME 1.2

all my games was burned on Verbatim DVD+R (DL 8.5) on speed-2.4X (with imageburn).

The main problem is with the backups , when I want to play with the backup disc I need to insert him to the xbox 360 immediately eject him and insert the tray again (most in case I do this action 2 times until the game shows up).

now the second problem that come just a few days ago is when im insert original disc after 1 hour of gaming the xbox tells me (messege) that i need to clean the disc and insert him again.

please guys give me solution for this.

With Thanks Matan

First, you need to tweak the laser on your Hitachi drive.  Go here for instructions:

(just paste the above link in your address bar)

Second, you may have to power the Xbox 360 off then on again whenever you want to play an original game after you just played a backup.  You should also maybe look into upgrading the fan on your Xbox 360 to the Talismoon Whisper fan because usually games may not boot properly if the console is too hot.

The problem with that Prophet, is the 78FKs shouldn't need a pot tweak.

I mean, go ahead and try that. But a little bit at a time. FIrst measure what your current setting is, write it down. Then tweak it maybe 200-300 ohms lower. Then go in ~100 ohm increments until you get reliable boots. While your in there - double check your install. Make sure all the wires are making good contacts. I know the NME1.2 + Hitachi 78FK is freaking brutal to install...

Do get the Talismoon Whisper fans. I also suggest ram heatsinks and the fan shroud mod by RBJTech. You can google "RBJTech" and find his Xbox modding site and find the fan shroud mod. Any small heatsinks should be fine for 2 RAM and the southbridge. I use small VGA RAM heatsinks.

Samsungs usually don't need to be adjusted at all.

hmm...I didn't know that about the 78's.  I just assumed every Hitachi could use a little tweaking. Thanks for that information! happy.gif
