Title: Is The "nme 1.2 Fix" Absolutely Necessary?

So far. it seems the 470 fix is for Samsungs. Not hitachis.

You should install the chip as-is. Then if there is some error, after you've exhausted all other avenues... remove the 470.

btw, for hitachi 78k, I recommend the Xeno. Less wires. Though u do have to power on the 360 via the Eject button to enable the chip - ... i'm lazy.

But if u think u can tackle it.. go for the nme1.2
