Hi,

I recently modded my xbox with the nme360 v1.1. It worked great for few weeks and then all of a sudden, I get an error sayin disc is not readable. Then none my game would boot. I took apart the xbox and chked the connections again. Now the backup works for 5 mins and it gets stuck and none the buttons work. Also it does not eject.

What should I do?

Hmm.. sounds like a dead laser. Does your originals work? If so you may need to do a pot tweak on the laser. If originals don't work try disabling the chip (remove +5v) or even removing it completely. If problem persist you may have to buy a new laser.

well i took the chip and the box works perfectly.

The symptoms with the chip are:

1) Games boot the very first time. (After not playing it for a while)
2) During the game, when u pause the game and try to play again, it freezes.
3) After its frozen, the eject button does not work.

Any feedback?

I dont think its bad soldering coz the games initially boot up. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

sound like possibly a bad chip.
