Team Underdog dont seem to care that they have sold a faulty modchip to the masses. You shouldnt have to mod a modchip. They have acknowledged the fault exists but have not written detailed instructions on how to fix the issue. I presume their idea of a fix will be to issue a NME 1.3 lol
If you install the network point you cant play backups online as the chip will have disabled the network card in the xbox
If the network lead isnt fitted you can play backups online but at your own risk of being blocked by Microsoft. However i have not heard of any proof that the NME 1.2 can be detected and blocked i think the talk is mainly just scaremongery. The more people that use the chip online increases the risk of it being detected and a block being created.
I have just removed the 470 coild and soldered a wire between the two points and mine works fine. Prior to this it only played orginals and not backups
Thanks - that's the first straight answer i've got on these forums.
I'll just remove the coil and bridge the gap.
I'm still trying to work out how to make backups for the NME with an opened pioneer drive.
i only have one backup which a friend lent to me to try out stuff but i have to give it back soon.
Cheers
