So I bought the NME 1.2 chip and had a friend help me install it because he is a lot better at soldering than I am. He got everything installed, we tested it out and it worked fine. Played backups and retail games no prob. Then we decided to install the optional network off wire. While doing that the point on the mobo for that wire was messed up and basically came off and now the 360 will not work period, just gives an error screen at boot. I tried to take a picture of the point but my digital camera is not very good at close-up pictures and it just comes out a blur, but I do not think it can be repaired.
So basically im wondering what my best option here is? The DVD drive is already modded and works fine but I am not sure if the DVD Drives can be swapped out with another 360 or if they are somehow locked to that specific system? Would I be able to order a replacement mobo somewhere? I was thinking I could buy a new one from a store like wal-mart and swap it with the broke one and try to get a refund for the broke one but im not sure if they check the warranty seal or if they would give a refund period. Any advice would be appreciated.

The drive is lock into ur system, however, you can extract the key out and flash it with another key from another xbox system to get it to work.
