Good news Everyone!
My Xeno chip turned up yesterday and was a breeze to install.
You only need a minimum of wires to connect. The only extra is the eject wire over the NME as you manually turn the chip on by holding it on for 5 secs - Big Deal - thats when the onscreen starts and the power led goes off if you add the option. Pin 8 is optional for network off - same as NME and pin 9 is optional behind the front pcb for a centre power led off feature when the chip is enabled. Got this info from my supplier.
Its smaller than it appears to be and fitted neatly on top of the main chip on my samsung drive. It seemed to be the most secure spot and still had clearance from the laser above.
I made my backups using the samsung sh-d162c, pioneer dvr-111d & NME tools and it runs flawlessly. This was tooooo easy. (IMG:
