did you try it without a chip in?

on one 360 i did, i pulled up the solderpad a bit, and it still worked fine. I can *ass*ume that maybe those points are for testing purposes for the manufacturer and don't lead anywhere.

Just test it, if it doesnt work.... ... mmm good luck.

I am going to give that try. The idea that the trace leads no where never even occured to me! I am going to give it a try right now, and I will post back. Thanks man!
