Hi,
I just installed my nme 1.2 and still didnt get the backups to work ( dont know if its my soldering or the media bla bla bla ).
any way,
I would highly recommand that you open up your xbox before you order the cip to check if you have the black epoxy like I had ( see my posting ), if you do have it then prepare to get a heat gun and a good surgical nife to remove it.
another note,
there are 5 points you need to solder,
4 are not that hard but point A is a bitch!
one tip I can give you is - get a solder iron with a tip that is as thin as you can find.
when you look at the images it looks much larger then it is, this point is so tiny I had to use a magnifing glass!
Cheers

Point A is hard...just gotta be steady with the hand...no double espresso shot before hand though.
Not too hard if you've modded ps2's before. Some ps2's required 4-5 of those legs and all adjacent to one another.

I thought there were 6 points. Did you not connect the LED?
Also, thanks for the info, very helpful. Good luck getting the backups to work

I ruined my Sammy trying to solder point A. So I give up. Ordered another Sammy off of Ebay (ouch) - but I want one. So I'm looking for a good installer in my area so I don't have to worry about this anymore. I'll stick to modding Xbox 1's...
Good luck all. Once mine is professionaly installed - I'll report back here on media, if it worked bla bla bla...

I replied to you in the other forum "NME-360 1.2 Questions".
