This is a port of Beats of Rage, a fun beat-em-up game developed by the clever people
at Senile.

Installation
------------

 - Download the PC version of Beats of Rage from the following location:

       http://senile.mine.nu/beatsofrage/download.php

 - Upload the BOR.PAK file to a directory on your XBox

 - Upload the DEFAULT.XBE file to the same directory on your XBox

 - Run the DEFAULT.XBE file

Usage
-----

Use a controller in port 1 or port 2 to navigate the menus.

You can change the default controls via the in-game menus.

You can also change between the following graphic filters by pressing RTHUMB at any time:

2xSai
Super 2xSai
HQ2X
Eagle2x
Super Eagle 2x
SuperScale 2x
AdvanceMame 2x
Simple 2x
2xSai Scanline
Super 2xSai Scanline
Eagle2x Scanline

Everything else should be pretty self-explanatory.

I loved Streets of Rage on the Genesis and these screenshots look awesome.

this is a great beat em up...... a lot better than a streets of rage and the grafx are better than you would think! Character sprites in the game are done well.

when you go to Options -> Screen Size/Position, it crashes after 3 seconds (sound stops playing). doesn't matter if you press any button or not. the only thing that brings you out of that, is L+R+BACK+START.

The music will stop, yes, but are you sure it's "crashing"?  It's possible you need to turn off all your IGR settings.

yes, i am sure. it's crashing. at least i am not able to return to the options menu. all my IGR settings are OFF.

If your IGR settings are off, then how are you using L+R+BACK+START to restart?

Other than also making sure you're using the controller in port #1, I don't know what to tell you.  Works fine here.

im reading is just hard to get

- Upload the BOR.PAK file to a directory on your XBox

- Upload the DEFAULT.XBE file to the same directory on your XBox

Nevermind, It finally free'd up and I was able to DL it, and throw it on my XBOX.  I just sampled it for a few minutes, seem pretty nice.  The remixed shenmue song at the main screen is an extremely nice touch. Good stuff.

i get a black screen when i open bor for xbox. here's what i did, i unzipped the bor pc, i took the bor.pak and i put it in the same directory as the bor default.xbe. i send it tru ftp and opened it on my xbox and nothing, just a black screen.

i disabled evox tsr and my x2 reset. still nothing. kinda weird that it won't work since i've never had any problems with every emu and homebrew games that i installed, and i have most of them.

anyone know what i could try to make it work?

Maybe your BOR or default.xbe is dodgy, eg, incomplete download, etc. Also, which BIOS are you using?

I haven't actually played it yet, but I'd still recommending checking those two things I mentioned.

sad.gif . The links xport gave are getting hammered. Could someone upload just the bor.pak file to a website, or share it on a file sharing network of some sort? I really want to play this game, not on the pc, but on the xbox! Anyways, thanks Xport for what is mostly likely another great port!

also you will get to battle some enemies found in metal slug4, but thats all i am saying for now wink.gif

btW, XPorT if and when u release a V2, could you add savestate support or something please ??

because upon loading the game again, nothing was done, i was gonna showoff some screenies of Mighty he looks really funny wink.gif, but as the screenshot function is scrambled, i cannot, and i didnt play through it with Debug mode so i couldnt use that as an alternative for taking a screenshot, (DOH, i should have) LMAO smile.gif

Anyways, Great game, and thankyou for porting it  XPorT, please consider adding savestate or something as an option, im sure other people would agree, its a fairly long game to beat.

XPort: I'm getting a black screen when I load this. I have the latest X2 Bios, have turned IGR off both for the bios and Evox, neither worked. Tried launching it from Boxplorer, no go. I got my Pak file from the bottom mirror on the BOR Homepage download section if that means anything.

This is the ONLY software that will not run on my XBOX.

put up a basic membership or so, and use their free servers to get the files, has some waiting time 20 or so min... its pretty easy, sign an account and search for the file, choose d/l and sit back and wait for a guaranteed d/l ....


OR you can actually pay to get access to their fast servers, i`am sure its worth it...

They're adding more servers all the time, as of last night I think there is now a total of 5.

I re-downloaded it with a different web browser, different sources and everything. Still does not work.

But this thread is about that and other people have asked, which is why I thought I would check again...I have the PC version and can see the Pak file, but that's it.
