Title: Lunar On Neogenesis
Post by: naskhan on December 18, 2003, 09:16:00 AM
HI i gotta problem w/ lunar for sega cd.  Its in ISO MP3 format and when it gets to the lunar title screen in the game it turns black and freezes.  I have all 52 audio tracks, formatted the ram of the sega cd and renamed the files in hte TRACK.iso TRACK_01.mp3 etc.  Could i burn the iso and mp3s and then re rip and use a bin cue format and see if  that works, and if so how could i do this?  anybody have any ideas

Have you tried toggling the Perfect CD Syncho option?  What version of NeoGenesis are you using?

there's no need for the "_". in the mp3 names. "Track01.mp3" is fine. when all else fails.....give it a try.

since you said "burn" instead of "re-burn," maybe you got a bad dump.

does it run on the PC version?

did you use CDDissect? with this program, you can load it with the LUNAR.cue file.

oh yeah, this may be that ancient Neogenesis/Sega CD problem that i ask people to sticky:

-put the iso and mp3's of every seperate sega CD game in its own folder, so Lunar iso and mp3's would be in a LUNAR folder right there inside the roms folder. when the mp3's are scattered with all the other files from different games, it'll take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes to load up the games. especially with 52 audio tracks.

anyway, if you haven't done this, do it first.

It makes no difference if the filenames are [ Track.iso and Track_01.mp3 ] or [ Track.iso and Track01.mp3].  Both formats work the same.

It will only take a lengthy period of time to load if you are reading the ISO/MP3 files from across a network share (e.g. Samba or Relax).  If you are reading them from the XBox HD or from DVD-R media, it will only take a few seconds.
