Post by: XPort on August 02, 2003, 05:48:00 PM
XBoyAdvance - GBA/GBC/GB/SGB/SGB2 Emulator for XBox v5

http://xport.xbox-scene.com

What's New:
 - Fixed bug with save types.  If you selected a specific save type
(e.g. EEPROM, etc) it was not being picked up by XBoyAdvance.
This was previngting the playing of games like DBZ:Goku among othes.

Stella, Gnuboy, SMSPlus, FCEUltra, HUGO, NeoPop, DGen, Bochs, HUGO-CD, FMSXBox,
Bliss, WinSTon, Gens, Z26, StepmaniaX, PCSXBox, XBoyAdvance....what's next?

Enjoy!

XPort has said tons of times that he will NOT be making a SNES emulator as Lantus's xSnes9x is already fine.

QUOTE
What is VICE?
VICE is a Versatile Computer Emulator, i.e. a program that runs on a Unix, MS-DOS, Win95/NT, OS/2, Acorn RISC OS or BeOS machine and executes programs intended for the old 8-bit computers. The current version emulates the C64, the C128, the VIC20, all the PET models (except the SuperPET 9000, which is out of line anyway), the PLUS4 and the CBM-II (aka C610).
If you have any comments or bug reports, please contact us at one of the addresses given below.

VICE is under constant change. Anyone interested in helping development of VICE is welcome. Please contact us to avoid doing something that someone else has done already. (-:

Of course our warm thanks go to everyone who has helped us in developing VICE during these past few years.

Thanks for your work XPort. DBZ loads fine now. The only problem is that my DBZ save files disappear after I turn off the xbox. But I will just leave it on until I'm done playing because I heard the game isn't that long.

Seeing that xSnes9x has been around for over a year, what would 3 months matter? Its been almost perfect since about its 3rd beta.

tongue.gif  I changed the saves directory, but it keeps writing a copy of the ini to that original folder, my saves are going to the correct location.  The emu looks great, now how about optimizing the VBA code so we can run any game w/ 0 frameskip? wink.gif

It works better than it looks.

No indirect complaints. Always remember these are ports.

I feel it's a bit quirky the way Xport's recent emulators have hard-coded .ini file locations. I believe it's to allow people who run off read-only disc to save their options. However, it does mean there are some undesirable side-effects, like as described above - it's hard to have two different configurations. You could do the force reload d:*.ini thing upon running each emulator, I suppose.
