Title: Help A Us Soldier Out! Lol

So i just recently got back from a tour in iraq.
While i was there i got a xbox modded to play copied games.
Well now that i am stateside i am downloading new games to play and none will work
i asked around and people told me to update my flash.
Since i didnt do this in the first place i was wondering if anyone could provide some advice
or point me in the right direction.

Is there different flashes?
How do i tell which one i have?
where do i go to update it?
